If you’re putting together a Startup Week, chances are you’ve heard of Sched. Sched is the online platform we use to organize all the programing happening during Startup Week and allows attendees to RSVP for the programs they’d like to attend. It’s super easy to use and works wonderfully. Best of all, we have a subscription that covers all Startup Weeks so that you can use it for free.

One thing we’re noticing is that organizing teams don’t seem to be aware of all the customization available on Sched to really make the event their own. From the mobile icon to headers, Sched makes it easy to brand your event page so it flows seamlessly into all of your online properties.

Quick How-To

To brand your Sched page, simply log into your Sched account and click on “Appearance” on the left nav bar. Once there, you can add headers and icons.

We really like what the San Luis Potosi team put together for their header image. It includes all the elements of their Startup Week brand so users feel like the experience is inline with the other web properties.

It’s also very easy to add your snow globe icon. Under “Appearance” go to “Mobile App” on the top nav bar. Scroll down to upload a .png of your icon and hit “save.”
